Thanks for the comment. I don't kno...Anthill,

Thanks for the comment. I don't know what drives me nuts more in these situations - trying to figure out the track & intensity for myself, or reading/hearing/seeing bad information in the media!!!! I just try not to even watch TV during things like this - it just raises my blood pressure!

Hopefully folks will use common sense and based on the size and strength of this storm take it seriously!Rob Whitehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06951148913701306704noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-684151770662764217.post-74998741580015305112011-08-26T08:06:21.034-05:002011-08-26T08:06:21.034-05:00I was watching a national morning news show where ...I was watching a national morning news show where the had someone fly with the Hurricane Hunters. As the reporter was ending his piece he said, "The plane that was taking off when we landed, landed itself just a few minutes ago. I talked to them and they say the winds are now sustained at around 130mph."
They cut to the anchor who then says, "Hurricane Irene is a catagory 2 hurricane with maximum sustained winds at 110mph...but it MIGHT intensify later."
No wonder people out on the coast tend to sit back and wait...there is NO consistency!!
Praying for everyone in Irene's path!Anthill_Goddesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10246578958759921087noreply@blogger.com
