Conditions are becoming favorable for a regional outbreak of severe thunderstorms this afternoon and evening across portions of the upper Mississippi River Valley and Midwest/Western Great Lakes region.

Severe storms will develop near the Western edge of the outlook area by mid to late afternoon and progress East/Northeastward into the evening hours.
