Isolated showers (like the top of one that you can see in the above picture taken near Kyle) developed across south-central Texas today, giving some folks a brief but much needed break from the hot, humid weather. Of course, once the shower moved on, it was even more humid, but hey, in the middle of June we're not going to complain about any rain we can get, right?

Really enjoy your blog and your insight into severe weather.
At some point, if you have the time (and if you haven't already - I may have missed it in the archives) I'd be interested in your recommendations for weather forecast websites (Radar resources etc) and any good books on severe weather science (of moderate difficulty level). I currently use the free version of Weather Underground as well as the NWS convective outlook resources, but I'm interested in any others that might be good as well.
In my bit of Wisconsin we have the opportunity to see enough severe weather first-hand to make it very interesting (& sometimes personal).
Thanks again!
