As I'm sure you know, photos were flying all across twitter and facebook last night as the annular solar eclipse took place. Below are a few that caught my eye:

This was a "Western" event, with the best viewing in a swath from the Pacific Northwest into the west-central Plains of Texas:
If you missed out on this one, don't fret. A total solar eclipse will be visible from Northwest to Southeast across the United States on Monday, August 21, 2017. Totality will be viewed along the greyish colored path below, with decreasing coverage to either side:
