The SPC in Norman, OK has issued a Tornado Watch for much of southcentral Texas, including the Austin/San Antonio areas, until 5am CST Wednesday morning.
As expected, thunderstorms are developing near the Big Bend late this evening. They will increase in coverage and intensity as they move and develop Eastward overnight.
Large hail, damaging wind gusts and isolated tornadoes are possible with all severe storms in this area, along with dangerous lightning and very heavy downpours of rain.
Please make sure that you have a way to receive severe weather warnings (such as a NOAA Weather Radio, text alert or smart phone application) overnight.
