Severe T-Storm Watch Upgraded to Tornado Watch Southeast Oklahoma / Northwest Arkansas...

The Severe Thunderstorm Watch that was issued earlier for east-central and southeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas has been upgraded to a Tornado Watch. Just like the earlier watch, it is valid until 12 Midnight CDT.

In addition to the risk of large hail and damaging wind gusts, isolated tornadoes are also possible with severe storms in this region.

If you live in these areas, remain alert this evening and tonight.  Listen to local media or another trusted source for the latest updates and possible warnings.  Make sure to identify your sheltering location ahead of time, that way you can get there quickly if a warning is issued for your area.

Severe weather can be especially dangerous at night.  Make sure that you have a way to receive severe weather warnings at night.
