Danielle Weakens A Bit...For Now

The above satellite image of Danielle was taken about 30 minutes ago.  The system was downgraded from Hurricane to Tropical Storm as of the 4pm Central Time advisory from the National Hurricane Center.

As of 4pm CDT...the center was located about 895 miles East of the Leeward Islands, and was moving toward the West/Northwest at 18 mph.  Maximum sustained winds are 70 mph.

The slight weakening trend observed today is likely to only be temporary, as conditions appear favorable for Danielle to reintensify to Hurricane strength later tonight or tomorrow.

The current forecast track continues to take the system East of Bermuda, as a hurricane, late Saturday or Sunday.
