The above image was just taken from the Oklahoma City radar site. It shows the radar in reflectivity mode (i.e., rain, hail, etc.). The image below was taken at the same time and by the same radar, but is in velocity (wind speed and direction) mode. When examining the velocity imagery, remember that greens show wind motion toward the radar site, while reds show wind motion away from the radar site. The radar site in this particular image is located off of the lower right corner of the image.
The circulation Southwest of Guthrie is growing even stronger. If you live in Guthrie, Seward, Cedar Valley, Cimarron City, you should be in your shelter now. This tornado is rain wrapped and you will not be able to see it coming.
The white circled area on the top image is the debris being carried aloft by the tornado and reflected back to the radar. This is a very dangerous situation.
