Do you have any info on the tornado that's supposedly in KC right now? I can't get any specific information. We have lots of friends and family there.

I'm with The Planet Pink on this one...lots of friends/family down there and the last I heard was a call from one of them who travels for work asking what was going on because sirens were going off down by Olathe. Can't find anything more than general info about it!

The storm reports I see right now from KC are all "funnel clouds" i.e., not on the ground. There was one touchdown report from 137 and Metcalf in Overland Park, but it appears to have been a brief touchdown.

Scrolling back on the radar it looks like there was strong rotation on radar, but not a lot of on ground reports (very similar to the storm that was rotating like crazy from Beggs through Haskell toward Wagoner last night and only produced brief touch-downs).

I'll see what else I can come up with and put up a post....
