Thunderstorms across northcentral Oklahoma have formed a nearly solid line all the way back down to the OKC Metro area during the past hour. Individual storms within the line are moving Northeast at 35 mph, while the overall area is moving Eastward at 20 mph.
If you live in Pawhuska, seek shelter from this dangerous storm. Large hail is also likely.
This activity continues to advance toward the Tulsa Metro area. While no circulations are indicated that would impact Tulsa at present, this remains a volatile situation and Tulsa residents should be prepared for severe weather including possible tornadoes between 7:30 and 8:30 PM.

Thunderstorms across northcentral Oklahoma have formed a nearly solid line all the way back down to the OKC Metro area during the past hour. Individual storms within the line are moving Northeast at 35 mph, while the overall area is moving Eastward at 20 mph.
Large hail and strong, gusty winds are likely with this activity as it moves toward the Tulsa Metro area during the 7:30 to 8:30 timeframe (based on present movement). Tornado development will also be possible, although nothing concrete is indicated at this time.
When storms assume a linear configuration as is the case currently with the activity moving toward Tulsa, the tornado threat is typically weaker and not as long lasting as with a more isolated cell. We will have to monitor this activity closely though as it approaches Tulsa for any reorganization and/or intensification.
If you live in Tulsa, be prepared for severe weather including possible tornadoes in about one hour to one hour and a half...and monitor this thread for updates.
