The above Tornado Watch was recently issued by the SPC in Norman, OK, valid until 5pm CST. It includes the cities of Meridian, Tuscaloosa, Birmingham, and areas immediately West of Montgomery.
A line of thunderstorms is approaching the region from the West, and more isolated development is taking place ahead of the line:
Large hail and damaging wind gusts will be the primary threats with the activity, however an isolated tornado or two cannot be ruled out, especially with any of the isolated storms that may form and become organized ahead of the main line.
