Tornado Watch Oklahoma / Extreme NW Texas Until 4am CST...

As expected, the SPC has replaced the Tornado Watch with a new one for extreme northwest Texas and much of Oklahoma, valid until 4am CST.  This includes the Wichita Falls, Lawton, Oklahoma City and Tulsa Metro areas.

Hail to 1 inch diameter, damaging winds in excess of 60 mph and flash flooding will be the primary threats in this area overnight, however isolated tornadoes also cannot be completely ruled out.

See my last post for additional details on how the evening and overnight hours are expected to unfold...
