Strong to Severe Storms Moving Toward Eastern Oklahoma...


Above is the latest radar image from the Twin Lakes site, near Oklahoma City. A band of strong to severe thunderstorms extends from just East of Wichita to just east of Ponca City to near Pauls Valley.  Individual storms within the line are moving East/Northeast at 50-55 mph, while the line itself is moving East at 40-45 mph.

Strong, damaging wind gusts of 55-65 mph and hail up to 1 inch diameter have been reported with this line of storms over the past 1-2 hours.

Based on the present rate of movement, the threat of strong to severe storms will enter the Tulsa Metro area between 5:15 and 5:30 PM CST.
