New Severe T-Storm Watch in Texas

A new Severe Thunderstorm Watch has just been issued, along and East of I-35 in central and northeast Texas.  It is valid until 3pm CDT.

Thunderstorms have already moved East of I-35 from Georgetown, through Austin to San Marcos, and will continue to race into southeast Texas this morning.  Large hail and damaging wind gusts are possible with stronger storms.

An isolated thunderstorm could still form for the next hour or so from New Braunfels to San Antonio, but this threat will end by 10am as a strong cold front blows through the region.

Winds will shift to the Northwest in the Austin-San Antonio corridor by mid-morning, and increase to 20-30 mph with gusts to 40 mph.  These strong Northerly winds will continue into the afternoon hours.
