The above image is the latest severe weather forecast for today from the SPC in Norman, OK. Isolated to scattered severe thunderstorms are possible within areas noted in yellow. Large hail and damaging winds will be the primary threats in these areas today, although isolated tornadoes also cannot be ruled out.
A much more pronounced risk of severe weather (some significant) exists for tomorrow. Again, severe thunderstorm development is possible anywhere located within the yellow shaded areas. The highest risk of severe weather is forecast for areas within the red shaded areas, which includes Great Bend, Pratt, Wichita and Oklahoma City.
Very large hail, damaging winds and tornadoes are all possible with severe thunderstorms on Wednesday. Some of the tornadoes could be strong and/or long tracked.
I will make a more detailed post on tomorrow's threat later today.
