Severe weather is forecast for a broad area extending from the Texas Big Bend through the southern and central Plains and into the upper Midwest on Wednesday (yellow shaded areas on the image above).
The greatest risk of severe weather, including very large hail and tornadoes, will exist within the black and red hatched areas on the image above, from portions of Western and central Kansas into Western and central Oklahoma and Northwest Texas. This enhanced risk area includes the Great Bend, Wichita, Oklahoma City, Wichita Falls and Abilene areas.
The most vigorous of the severe thunderstorms are forecast to form along a dryline across western Kansas into western Oklahoma and northwest Texas by late afternoon Wednesday. This activity will then move and develop East/Northeastward into adjacent portions of the same states during the evening and overnight hours.
Please keep abreast of the latest forecasts over the next couple of days if you live in these areas.

We're gonna be under fire tomorrow morning and afternoon Please tell me winds and hail are the only threats-no tornadoes!
Shamrock, it looks like large hail would be the primary threat for your region. The potential threat area is large, so it's hard to say that you will definitely be affected. Probably about a 20% chance that your specific location would receive large hail tomorrow. Threat will be higher to your Southeast (over the Carolinas) where it will be more unstable.
Thanks, Rob. I'm just REAL nervous since we've been hit by a tornado. They have us in the red and that is what it looked like when we were hit!!!
